My Number One Rule

My number one rule that people should follow is to never have a narrow mind. I believe a narrow mind is the antithesis of progress because I feel that it is just a restriction on the mind and it halts any and all progression. I believe having a narrow mind is being stubborn and refusing to open your eyes to changing times in the world or in your life and adjust how you live and view things. To me the smartest thing you can do in life is to extricate your mind. Narrow minds are fairly evident to me in certain political groups such as some right wingers who never seem to or want to stray from their views even slightly. In my opinion those without an open mind are simply put, stagnant people.
